Chuo Gakuen
Students Exchange Program
with Japan Chuo Gakuen is one of the traditional school
with the 70 anniversary of its founding this year. It owns
its own school building in Boyle Heights, Los Angels, and
under a stable environment, students from preschool to Sr.
High school are studying Japanese happily. Today, there
are many graduates who have played an active part in the
world by using their bilingual skills; Dr. Sumiko Kawaratani,
Physician in Little Tokyo, Ms. Tomoko Ito, Teacher at Torrance
High School, Ms. Nancy Hamai, Secretary for the Consul of
Japan.
Since 1991, Chuo Gakuen have had student exchange program
with Kawashima Elementary school in Gifu, Japan. Every year
our students experience Christmas and the New Year with
the homestay family in Kawashima City, Japan and come back
making great improvement in Japanese.
