Textbooks and Other Material
In order to meet students’ backgrounds and their needs, we use several different sets of textbooks. One of them is compiled by the California Japanese Language School Association. Others have been developed in Japan for teaching Japanese as a second language in Japan. Also, we use Japanese textbooks for Japanese students in Japan. We use many audiovisual materials as often as possible along with those textbooks.
High School Credit by the JLSUS courses
Students enrolled in one of our schools, and who are in the ninth or higher grade in their high school could earn high school credit by taking a test (credit test) and by maintaining the required hours of attendance.
Open House/Class try out
All five schools have an open house at the end of May and the beginning of June every year. It is a good opportunity to learn about the classes and the school. Also, any Saturday of the year whenever we have classes, children can have a free trial by sitting in the actual classes for one day.
